What a dental practice coach actually does
Most coaching for dentists stops at advice. You get a call, you get a list of assignments, and the folder lands on whoever in the office has the least full plate. Very often that person ends up being you, because there is no one reliable to hand it to. Then nothing changes, and the coaching gets blamed for it.
We work the other way around. Alongside coaching the doctor, we can step in as the acting manager for your practice up to three days a week for several months. That means we are in the building, installing systems, training your team, and watching in real time what holds and what falls apart. Once things run without us, we scale back to occasional visits to confirm the systems stayed in place and to train anyone new.
The reasoning is simple. A good office manager who puts change in motion, follows through, and helps the doctor hold the team accountable is the whole difference between a plan and a result. Most practices do not have that person. For a few months, we can be that person.
