Most consultants want the dentist to designate a staff member to implement assignments and systems in the practice.  Very commonly, the dentist ends up becoming the assigned person because they don't have a reliable staff member to follow through with these assignments.  We can actually become the acting manager for your practice up to 3 days a week for several months to implement needed systems, do training with your staff, and track change while we are there to see what is working and what isn't.  After systems are in place, we can still make occasional visits to the office to make sure things are still in place and do more training, if needed.  The value of a good office manager who will help put change in motion and follow through and help the doctor hold the team members accountable cannot be overstated!
